The  Guardian newspaper published this article with the English Cricket Team currently being tested for drugs, this situation is not about ‘performance enhancing drugs’. Instead, this is about a very different issue that is as important to businesses as it is to sport, -a matter of ‘lifestyle’. We believe that this move by Angus Porter, the chief executive of the Professional Cricketers’ Association, to test using ‘hair strand drug testing’ shows a clear sign that the choices the players make off the pitch are just as important as on it. Both affects themselves and the team directly.

When it comes to corporates, we believe that this type of testing ushers in a new relationship emerging whereby corporate responsibility needs to include a dialogue on drugs. We will keep you updated as things progress as we don’t won’t you to get caught out (inevitable pun).
