What You Need To Know About DNA Relationship Testing

Your client may require a DNA test for:

  • Passport/Visa applications
  • Inheritance
  • Adoption
  • Reunited families
  • Birth Certificate Amendments
  • The testing process is carried out by a laboratory specialising in DNA testing and accredited to ISO 17025 standards and by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) as a body that may carry out parentage tests directed by civil courts in England and Wales under section 20 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969. The analysis turnaround time is 3-5 days following sample receipt at the laboratory.  In addition to this fast turnaround time, the costs for analysis are below the legal aid pricing structure.
